Ike Intercession

Prayer Points:

  • Protection for our comrades in the path of the storm
  • Intercessors to arise and create a high-pressure system of intercession
  • Rebuke the storm, if the Lord has led you
  • Release peace into the midst of the storm
  • For people to guard their hearts
  • For tender, repentant hearts
  • Reconstruction to replace destruction

Hurricane Ike

We have many members located in Florida -- many of whom are already dealing with the effects of the hurricane -- and we have people throughout the Gulf Coast region.  Let's please keep them lifted up in prayer to include their families, homes, places of business, churches, property, and more.

Also, Tom Hardiman continues to get revelation about us creating a high-pressure system of intercession to push back these storms.  So, let's take the time to intercede, and watch what can happen when we mobilize in prayer.

From what I'm getting back from people in our prayer network, most people feel the next couple of storms (Ike and Josephine) are the ones which have the most potential for trouble.

I've had a couple of people say that the Lord has directed them, in this case, to rebuke the storm.  If the Lord has led you to pray that way, do it.  For those who have not been led to pray that way, you should begin to pray in the result of the storm being rebuked -- peace.  Start calling for the peace of God in the midst of the storm; you will see it manifest.

Don't be dismayed when we don't all pray the same way.  As an army, we each have different missions.  Be sure to serve where you are assigned.  That means all fronts will be covered if we all hold our positions.

In addition, we can pray that Winds of Change will blow, leaving behind a path of reconstruction rather than destruction, praying for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Another key prayer over God's people is this:  "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life."  (Proverbs 4:23)

This ties in with the word we discussed last regarding hard-heartedness which was confirmed by a mature intercessor in the Pacific Northwest.  So, I urge us to keep the press on in this area -- that the people in the path of this storm -- and in this nation -- will have hearts of flesh and not of stone, tender to the voice of the Lord, and repentant.

Let me know what you're sensing.  Glad we're all in this together!

Peace!
