Victories in Africa-CMM's Jean Marc's Team Ministers Glory and Healing!!!

Jean Marc is from Brazil and travels the world with CMM and partners with many to see the Kingdom on earth. 

Hi prayer partners.  I have not had time to give you much of an update on the latest team that came, Jean Marc and Clelio, 2 Brazilians (one lives in the US and the other in Bolivia), and Reggie, Shannon and David, 3 Americans who live in Missississippi.  They are all now either home or on their way home (3 of them are ministering in England on the way home).  This is a praise report with some more prayer items to help guide your prayer, and I've included some pictures below.
 
We held an extremely effective 4-day pastor's seminar in one area, Macanga, with crusades whenever we could, mostly in the evenings.  The testimonies from the pastors were very very encouraging.  And some additional ministry in or near the mission base in Vila Ulongue.  The Holy Spirit was there in power with many healings and deliverances.  In just two days there were 4 deaf people that started hearing and 3 mute people who started speaking, one was both deaf and mute and God healed him of both.  I loved the one who came up to the platform with his mother who said that he had not spoken at all in the last 5 years and his first words were to proclaim Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.  Throughout the time the team was here we have collected a number of crutches and walking sticks from people who didn't need them anymore.  The Lord gave a word that a lady whose skin in the face was all flaking off would be clear in 3 days, and guess what, she was (don't know what it was, but it sure made me think of leprosy).  We always love seeing the glory of God manisfested on Earth, we usually are honored to be able to see a few of these but this is by far the greatest concentration of healings that I have ever been part of – ALL GLORY TO GOD, PRAISE HIM !!!  And the people's reaction is just as you would expect, they are flocking to Jesus.  One of the most encouraging things about all this is that for the first time I sense that the local Macanga pastors are ready and willing to keep introducing Jesus to the lost including the way that He has asked us to.  
Mar 16:17 "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new tongues, …, they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well".     
 
Together with such great successes and breakthroughs in the name of Jesus, we were not surprised to see a number of challenges trying to discourage us.  In all the time we have been coming to Africa this is the most vehicle breakdows that we have endured.  We lost a piston and cylinder head on one of the cars.  We had at least 6 tires go flat, including 2 blowouts where the tire seemed to explode – there were children coming from the other side of the road bringing big pieces of rubber.  Also many radiator leaks, and a number of fan belts which decided to come off their pulleys.  The wife of one of the American missionaries needed to go into hospital back home for a few days with unexplained pain (turned out to be an infection), the mother of another fell ill during the trip.  Enesia joined us near the end of the trip and as soon as she arrived started feeling pain like described of the team member's wife (again, an infection).  I was so impressed that through all this, nobody in the team was fazed in the least, we are more than conquerors, and it is encouraging to see how much interest our obedience to God is causing in the enemy's camp – he's running scared.
 
Now that this part of the mission trip is complete, IT IS IMPERATIVE that the prayer covering continues for all of us, especially covering the part of the team that has returned home.  Please keep praying, and let the Holy Spirit guide you in those prayers.  Also please pray for the additional ministry in London that Jean Marc, David and Shannon will be part of in London on their way back home this weekend and next.  Please also pray for the continued favor of the Lord on the funding for this ministry – the car issues made this trip much more expensive than expected – we were so totally blessed that one person has donated funds for 8 new tires (4 on bus, and 2 each on the other 2 vehicles).  We are entirely at ease that He will supply EVERYTHING that is necessary to complete His work – I suppose that since at this time it is not obvious how He will take care of the activities for the rest of my time here in Africa until mid-December, it will just give Him the pleasure of surprising me, and I will just praise Him that much more.
 
I am now in Malawi while we fix the bus and buy parts for the other vehicles so we can fix them in Mozambique, and giving Kenneth and Enesia some time at home, and of course some rest for all of us.  From Nov 17-22 we will hold a course at the Mozambique base for Foursquare pastors and leaders from the 20 new Foursquare churches started in this area, taught by the Foursquare Mozambique leadership.  This will be the first of 4 courses necessary to train them and certify them as pastors.  Please pray for a smooth process and effective teaching.  Thank you Hope Chapel for your financial help so we could do this.  Other than that week, the rest of my time here until I leave on Dec 12th will focus on setting future direction and vision, administration, and teaching the team in areas like running the businesses, etc.  Please also pray that we are able to quickly sell the 100,000 bricks or so that we manufactured African-style in order to raise additional funds for the ministry. 
 
Please also pray for Lindy, Joe and Charles who should have arrived in Cuba on Thursday.  I have unsuccessfuly attempted to contact Lindy on route, and have sent emails asking the Cubans to let me know if they arrived safely, but no information at all up to now.  I know I should not worry and Jesus is taking perfect care of them, but if any of you have heard anything please let me know.

Elaine Worthington--On Call, Serving In Thailand

Elaine Worthington loves to obey the Lord and she now is ministering in Thailand.

Elaine Worthington
... a prayer ministry

Elaine's prayer ministry takes her to many peoples and many places. She's on call, at His beckoning call. Often she comes alongside missionaries and works hands-on with the people. She brings others to encourage and build up missions working on the front lines. Being there, she feels the pain and hears the heart-cry and sees the need. She can stand in the gap to pray. She calls for help, connecting and linking others into the work. She travels with ministry teams on strategic missions and prayer journeys. Her outreach has been in the US and Europe and Asia.

Most recently, she has been on an extended stay in northern Thailand. Through the summer, June, July and August, focus was prayer and worship, holy times before the Lord... a prayer centre in Chiang Rai set aside for local missionaries to come together or alone before Him. In September and October, they took prayer to the streets. Well, they took it into the mountains, along the borders, over the rivers, into the cities, over the bridges, to the children and those who help them, mission centers, hospitals, even into homes.

Now it's "Pray without ceasing." Elaine will be in the states for part of November and December to coordinate plans and connect with ministering teams that may come alongside. She has many stories to tell and hopes to find help for those who are in the trenches of the nations with His heart.

We pray the Lord would bless her with loving friendship and great encouragement while she's here, and that her plans will be fortified as she prepares to go out with more of Him. Pray for Elaine, those who go with her and those she serves! - Jorge and Anna Parrott

Pray Without Ceasing
Monsoon Season 2009... Chiang Rai, Thailand

"...they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Is 40:31)

Chiang Rai missionaries are soaking up this Scripture because it's true. He's our Strength, He's our very Life. We must come away at times, we must. We cannot go without Him. Time with Him, there is no substitute, there is no greater Joy or Strength.

Fruitful times have been shared in a prayer centre at Chiang Rai, even special times alone with the Lord. Quiet times, restful times, healing times... Prayerful times, strategic times, intercession... Planning, mapping, praying, worshipping, waiting... And we go on in His love.

No language barriers...

There is no language barrier in the prayer room. We seem to understand as we seek Him together and believe God for each mission and for each other. What a delight it is to pray together and laugh together, every nation and tribe. Thailand is a melting pot of refugees from nearby nations: China, Burma or Myanmar, Laos... Hill tribe ministers have come more recently for prayer - Lahu, Akha. Thai Christians stop in to pray with us and to worship Him. Missionaries from the US, Malaysia, S. Africa, S. Korea, Germany, the Netherlands... There's a comraderie that's growing among the mission groups and missionaries in this city.

Chiang Rai Province is in northern Thailand bordering Myanmar and Laos.

We walked prayerfully through brothel districts of a Thai city on Myanmar's border. It's where they sell kids. Most are Burmese here because Myanmar is so poor and not always a good place to be. Many are forced out with no papers and no place to go.

Big Buddhist shrines to evil spirits saturate the streets. Fruit, food and drink are piled onto the shrines. Offerings to the gods...

A Christian drop-in center is right in the middle of it all. The government won't let the kids spend the night at the center, but there is food served all day. The kids can keep their clothes there, a shirt or extra shorts. They don't have a home or a place to put them but the center washes their clothes.

The children are amazing, the homeless ones. They laugh and play and can make anyone smile. Moms come for lunch and pause to breast-feed their little ones. Kids sit on bamboo floor mats to eat or just to close their eyes. Little ones crawl around.

Worship videos are playing in the afternoon. Teenage boys sing quite loud to the music, worshipping Him with their eyes closed.

When they leave, they go back out and hustle and beg for change near the bridge to Myanmar. We beg for their change into righteous sons of the living God. They can bring His Heart and His nature into those streets even now.

Prayerful Journeys                                                  Autumn 2009... Thailand

Encourage the laborers...

Thank God for sending small teams out to the ends of the earth! Intercessors came recently to join with me for specially targeted prayer journeys and meetings in northern mountains. It was a privilege to go with them, servants. One said she knew it was a "Macedonian call" (Acts 16:9,10), her travel documents were ready less than four days after I called. I was glad for the help and knew He sent them. He showed us to reach out with His love together. Again and again, we found it essential to encourage the workers. "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few... Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers...." (Matt 9:37,38)

One who came was a minister from Germany, she continues to research and is still in prayer related to our journeys. She has put out a plea for help for some of the missionaries the Holy Spirit highlighted along the way. Another was a lady from Korea. She spent much time ministering in Japan and has been to Thailand before. She brought a very understanding heart to this Southeast Asian country. They both live in the US now and minister there too.

We were one in our quest in every place, one in the Spirit. "Behold, how good and how pleasant... in unity!" (Psalm 133:1) Others joined with us at special times in special areas. "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." (Matt 18:20) Miracles unfold, His life brings forth life, holy adventures! Thank You, Lord!

Reaching out in faith...

We were taken to strategic border regions looking into Myanmar and stepping into Laos. We traveled into the mountains and met with tribal leaders, played with the homeless children near the borders, prayed for missionaries in Chiang Mai, encouraged churches and mission groups in the northern Province of Chiang Rai.

We joined missionary intercessors at the highest point of the city of Chiang Rai believing the Lord will open His floodgates here. Three countries come together in Chiang Rai Province - Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Hill tribes have already come in like a flood in the recent past. We visited and prayed for hill tribe villages and their churches.

Thai's are being discipled with love...

We witnessed first-hand the beginnings of a new move of God for Thai churches in Chiang Rai. Some are already meeting from house to house, preparations for the days ahead. This is a new concept here and so needed now. Invaluable close-knit training and love. They care for each other! His family... growing up in Him. We continued to walk through the neighborhoods believing... We're praying for neighborhood churches as Thai believers begin to open their homes.

I'll keep you posted as we follow-up and continue to help those out there...

Save the children, they're His, they're holy.
Along the northern border, Thailand... Autumn 2009

We believe the Kingdom of Thailand belongs to the Kingdom of our God. Missionaries are placed strategically throughout the northern regions of Thailand. Some focus primarily on the border regions where kids and homeless refugees are compelled to stay.

The northern-most border of Thailand touches Myanmar. Transitory lifestyles there breed the worst of historic filth - devastation to death for many, even the young. Many have nothing, people are poor. Children on the streets have no hope with the slave trade, the sex trade, and child pornography at the door. Drugs and disease run rampant here. But there is a deep stirring in the hearts of His people sent to this region, an urgent awareness to save the children.

Glimmer of hope...

We walked those streets in the brothel districts, passed by the brazen altars to their gods, greeted begging children along the way. We prophesied and proclaimed His truth as many have done before us. Stunned in silence, we groaned with intercession. These were prayerful walks along the bordering muddy Mekong River that separates the two countries. We know our prayers were not in vain. He said to pray. "Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' (Jer 33:3) We could feel His love for the people there, we could feel His pain. But we also saw a glimmer of hope for the future. The Kingdom is at hand...

We prayed for those who know the depths of it there, they come everyday to help the children, the homeless, the ones who are hungry. They feed them, wash their clothes, teach them songs about the Lord, tell them Bible stories, play with them, color with them, hug them, love them. They are living sacrifices, but they would live no other way.

As we spent more time with the kids, we found they love to worship the Lord. Children are children, they are willing to receive His love and learn His ways. These were homeless and hungry and dirty and tired, but they love to play, they love to laugh, they love to sing.

A drop-in center where they can find rest for their soul.

We visited a Christian daytime drop-in center where lunch is served all afternoon. The kids come by, some fall asleep on the floor while others eat and play. They will all run upstairs to learn a new song or listen to another Bible story. The Lord is everywhere. He's making an army of saints out of destitute street children who have the ability to cross boundaries and sing of Jesus in such ill-begotten communities and cities. These hopeless little ones have found His hope and they carry it with inviting smiles, they carry it into those streets...

We have come and gone and come again. We pray for the children. The kids want us to pray for them. Please pray for them too. There are many and they are beautiful. The odds are against them but God is for them. The workers ask for our prayer too. Dear Jorge Parrott,

The Oak Initiative was born because Christian leaders from virtually across the spectrum of the body of Christ came together to confer about and address some of the great crises of our times. The quality, depth, and strength of those who came was most encouraging. They came to seek understanding, and then to take action. Powerful ministry and mission initiatives were born in different parts of the nation, and they are growing. This is basic to who we are:

1) To be those who will face the times and not hide from them.

2) To be those who seek an uncommon depth of understanding,
while at the same time being action oriented.

3) To be those who are willing to work with others in whatever
way is necessary to do what must be done.

Our goal is more than just helping God's people understand the times, and survive them—we want to see the army of God prevail in them.

We also assume that if you have joined an organization like this you are a mature enough Christian to be able to handle serious facts and information, with soberness, but also through the eyes of faith that always see Jesus on His throne above any problems that we may be facing here.

If we are going to live and stand for truth, we must be willing to see the truth. If we are going to be the light we are called to be we must have solutions to the world's pressing problems, which also means we need to understand them with some depth. If we are living at the end of this age we know that it will be the ultimate conflict between good and evil. We also know that without question good is going to prevail, and the ultimate result will be the nations coming to the light and glory of the Lord, as we see in Isaiah 60:1-3:

    "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
    "For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples, but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.
    "And nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."

As we see here it is at the time when darkness is covering the earth, and deep darkness the peoples, that the glory of the Lord arises upon His people, and the result is that the nations come to the light on God's people. In all that we must address, we must keep this foremost in our hearts and minds—the truth is going to prevail. Light is going to cast out the darkness, and the nations are going to come to the light. Regardless of how dark it may seem at times, the light wins.

However, we cannot fight victoriously if we refuse to see our enemy. Believe it or not, there are many Christians who do not believe there is a literal devil, or demons. Some might think that you cannot be a Christian without understanding that there is a devil, but nowhere does it say you have to believe in the devil to be saved. However, you cannot understand that The Bible is the word of God and not understand that there is a very real devil, and he has many demons obeying him. Unfortunately the Christians who do not believe this have been blinded by the very devil they do not believe in. The devil would obviously prefer that no Christians would believe in him because he dwells in darkness, and deception is his primary weapon against us. If we do not even believe he exists he does have a major advantage over us, and will use it when it best suits him.

The fall of mankind was caused by the serpent getting Adam and Eve to doubt what God had said, and the beginning of the fall of many Christians starts with them beginning to doubt the sure word of God. If Jesus, who is The Word of God, would take His stand on "It is written!" when being tested how much more should we take our stand in life on the written word of God. The devil would have each of us question it with such thoughts as there are so many different interpretations, translations, opinions, so who could know what it really says? You can. And you do not have to be a theologian to know. The word of the Lord Jesus Himself has given us the promise that if we seek we will find. If we care about His truth enough to search for it we will surely find it. In truth, not many, and even not many Christians, care enough to seek it.

Our goal for The Oak Initiative is that every member becomes so strong in the Lord that it does not matter what happens to The Oak Initiative, the leaders of OAK, or any others in your life, but even if we all were taken out, or fell away, you would just keep right on growing stronger in the Lord, and doing His will. Our goal is that each of you have your own roots, be devoted to constantly sinking them deeper, have your own revelation of the truth that you can stand on regardless of what happens to anyone else. This begins with a desire for God and His truth that is so strong that you seek Him and His truth.

In Eph.6:10-13 we are exhorted to be strong in the Lord, and are then told how:

        'Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.
        Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against
    the schemes of the devil.
        For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against
    the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual
    forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
        Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in
    the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.'

The Lord uses His title "Lord of hosts," or "Lord of armies" more than 10 times as much as all of His other titles. He is a martial God. When He brought Israel out of Egypt He immediately had them marching in "martial array." We are in a war, and to win any way you have to know who your enemy is at the very least. The most successful warriors in history have also been wise enough to also understand their enemy, their enemy's strategy and tactics, and their strengths and weaknesses. A basic military adage is that if you do not know yourself, or your enemy you have no hope of victory. If you know yourself, but do not know your enemy, you may win half the time. If you know yourself and your enemy you may win all the time.

In the text quoted above from Ephesians we see that we are not warring against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness. People are not our enemy. People may be used by the enemy, but our greatest victory is not conquering people, but rather setting them free. Our goal is not to wound but to heal. That is why we are told in II Cor. 10:3-5:

        'For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
        for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful
    for the destruction of fortresses.
         We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against
    the knowledge of God...'

Our most powerful weapons are love and truth, and therefore the strongest warriors will be those who have a love for the truth. We will quit under pressure if we just have doctrine, but a person in love will never quit. In II Thes.2:10 we see that it is not just those who have truth who will not be deceived, but those who have a love for the truth. Someone in love will pursue.

As I stated above, The Oak Initiative was born out of the alarm many Christian leaders felt because of the rising crises of our times. Because I have personally been addressing current events in more depth recently, I started to get more information from people who were in key positions to know about these crises. I confess that many times I would rather not have known what I have come to know in some areas, but feel that I have responsibility as a watchman to see what I need to see to help warn God's people of any threats or dangers, so I try to do the best job I can with it. I certainly would not claim to have always done this perfectly, or maybe even very well, but the response at least demonstrates a huge hunger for this among Christians.

I'm compelled to share this from time to time because it is apparent that Christian leaders who have failed to address some of the huge looming issues of the times have started to lose credibility with their own flocks. They need to hear from their leaders about these issues, not just get all of their information from the media, or other worldly sources. Our nation was born because Christian leaders spoke out on the important issues of their times, and there is a desperate need now for those who will speak out boldly. We cannot allow any intimidation to keep us from giving clear direction for those we've been entrusted with during these times. In the rising confusion Christians are going to begin rallying more and more to where they are getting the most clarity.

There have been long periods when I felt that every week I was shown that things are really much more serious than I had supposed, and have felt lately that they really could not get much more serious. Last week myself and several other OAK board members were given a two day briefing, and it is apparent that things are far, far, more serious than we have even been considering. This briefing came from top people who are used to brief the top people in our government, and others. They came with overwhelming proof of everything they shared. When it was over all that I could think was how all of the times I've said that we are in possibly the most serious times in our history even I had very little knowledge of just how true that statement is.

We are going to be sharing this information with our OAK members. It is honestly so much, and so shocking in some ways, that it is going to take some time to process it and get it into a palatable form. However, there is no longer any doubt that our nation is in its greatest crisis ever. There is also no doubt that it can be our finest hour, and a victory over this crisis can bring a future brighter than anything in our past. We are promised that the Lord will always lead us in His triumph. Even though the battle did get far, far bigger in my understanding, so did the potential victory get much bigger in my vision.

Ultimate solutions

Top management schools usually teach that if you are going to have a successful enterprise you must get rid of problem oriented people and replace them with solution-oriented people. If you are in leadership you know how trying it can be to endure the people who are always running up and dumping crises and problems on you. This is where the saying came from to not "shoot the messenger," because these messengers you really do want to shoot at times. For this reason I instituted a policy in our ministry that anyone can bring me a problem as long as they bring at least two solutions with it. This makes them think about the problems as opportunities for leadership instead of just doom. That is also what we want Oak to be known for—solutions.

Of course, this is a principle, not a law. Principles have exceptions, and laws don't. In a serious emergency I want to know about the problem, and fast, and help work on the solution. Even so, I think you get the point. Many nations are in crisis right now. One of the definitions of "crisis" is the point in a disease in which it is determined if a patient will live or die. I have felt for sometime that the U.S. was fighting some crises at this time that could determine its continued existence as a Republic, a democracy, and after last week I no longer have any doubt about this. I am also convinced that a victory over what is facing us can result in a period of unprecedented stability and strength, which will also benefit many other nations that are now in crisis.

Having spent forty years seeking to know God, and being continually in awe of Him, anything we do in the world is going to be boring in comparison. As I've shared its hard to get excited about the things the world esteems, and if we have seen the Lord then the greatest pomp of men seems remarkably petty and insignificant. I certainly did not enjoy being shown the constantly intensifying crises now besetting us, but every time I was shown bigger crises, I also felt an increasing grace for trusting in the Lord. I have so benefitted from this that I now embrace it more and see its importance. Heaven is much more fun to look at, but we are here at this time for a purpose. We may have been blessed to fight in the ultimate battle between light and darkness. The worst that can happen to us is that we die, and then go to heaven! How can we not enjoy this?

So this week I've written to kind of brace you for some of the things we will address in the future. I expect that some of you will come up with the solutions, the way that we should confront them. We will need strategy and tactics on every level.

As I have said, it will be a few weeks before we get to the most serious threat to our future that we are now facing because we do need to get it in order and present it right. While we're doing that we need to get as many true spiritual warriors in OAK that we can. As a Special Forces officer once told me, "There are many soldiers, but not many warriors." True warriors run to the sound of battle, not away from it.

TODAY THE WORKERS WERE TELLING THAT WE WILL GET THE SPRING OF WATER IN THE LAND OF CHURCH CONSTRUCTION. IT IS A GREAT PRAISING NEWS.

Building New Church In India

    Thank you so much for all your prayers for the LLM Church building project. Miraculously, we could start the work by laying f
foundation stone yersturday by FAITH AND PRAYER.

   This area is dominated by anti-Christian community. More over it was very hard to buy the land for the Church building among these people.

Very hard thing is no water at all on this land. It is very hard to get the water connection from the government pipe for the Church.

We need to dig a well to the deept of 100 feet, then only we can get the spirng of water. With the water, we can build this Church building. Other wise we don't have any water. First of all we have to dig a well now. Until unless dig this well for water, we can not build this church building. Today, I just called the well-digging people. They estimated for digging the well is $500. They dig it for one week with their hands not with any machines.

   Now, we are very much challenged for water for building the Church building now. More over, other side we are very much challenged for cement,iron,sand and rocks for the building of the temple of God.

   WE TRUST IN THE LORD FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE CHURCH BUILDING. WE WANT TO COMPLETE THIS CHURCH BUILDING BEFORE CHRISTMAS COMES. BECUASE WE DON'T HAVE ANY PLACE TO WORSHIP THE LORD.

WE ARE VERY MUCH CHALENGED NOW FOR BUILDING THE TEMPLE OF GOD AMONG THESE NON-CHRISTIANS. MY PASSION AND BURDEN IS TO WIN ALL THESE NON-BELIEVERS FOR CHRIST THROUGH THIS TEMPLE OF GOD.

   Please do pray and support with the digging-well and build the temple of God before Christmas comes. I don't want to be a burden by sharing this. But please do pray and support as the Lord leads you.

   First of all, once again Thank you so much for all your prayers and support for the medical camp.   God has an opened a great door for us to reach out these new and remote tribal groups.
Here are some of jungle medical camp pictures.
We have a great open door now for us to reach these people. Please continue to pray and extend your genrous support for these jungle tribal groups.
   They are suffering in the jungle lack of proper drinking water. The streams are following with contaminated water. They are very sick.
We want to dig a well or fix hand pump as soon as possible.
Please continue to pray for a two wheeler motor bike for our tribal missionary brother Anand and brother JOseph among these people.

Fresh Report From Mozambique

Hi again Prayer Partners.  Thank you so much for your continued prayers during this intense time in Mozambique – we are reaping the benefits here.  And thank you too for so many of the encouraging comments that we're getting from you.  Sorry no pictures this time, will need to go out through my phone.  Actually not sure of that, I enjoyed phone email when they turned on GPRS on the network.  But since yesterday the GPRS has gone off the air in both networks, hope to get this to you somehow. 
 
-    Please pray for Lindy's health. Even though she's carrying a good bit of the seminar teaching load, she has been struggling for a few days with infections and exhaustion .  The daily temperature down here in Mutarara of 105 degF does not help, but her spirit is strong.  The side pains have subsided, her tail bone area even survived the 10 hours of REALLY rough road (I use that term loosely) into the grueling 14-hour ride from Estima to Mutarara (18 hours including stop time and tire-changing time).
 
-    Praise God that the rest of the team is fine healthwise, even with a whole lot of sweat flowing down their faces, and that malaria has not and will not have any effect on the team as it has in the past.
 
-    The seminars in Estima and Mutarara have been effective, with a total of around 200 pastors and leaders of local churches attending.  We love to hear their testimonies, these people are being deeply touched by God.  If I have time I'll copy some of the testimonies down and let you read through.  A recurring comment seems to be that they "have been revived", and that unlike other seminars they have attended, they have not just had head learning but have grown so much spiritually.  During the seminar in Estima one man testified that his grown daughter that had been prayed for earlier by the team at the hospital was healed, she was so swollen up that she had not been able to go to the toilet for a long time.  Matthias told me that a small child who was with his mother at the Mutarara seminar was healed of malaria during Lindy's preaching.  At one of the churches we attended on Sunday morning a man was instantly healed of diarrhea and was full of joy – it was funny as they were trying to communicate this to Lindy through mime.  Long term diarrhea can be a sign of something so much more serious here.
 
-    We have now agreed to hold another unplanned seminar near Chare, an area near Mutarara that is too far for many pastors to walk here (we do have some of the pastors here now and they stress the need).  That is the area where many of the flood victims from two years ago are still living in the temporary camp shelters.  This will squeeeeze our time in Malawi's Lower Shire, but we all feel we need to do this. 
 
-    Praise God that since we arrived in Mozambique this trip on Sept 19th, more than 1,400 persons have invited Jesus into their lives and hearts during the outreach activities at the mission base and the crusades in Estima and here in Mutarara.
 
-    Another Praise Report.  One of the more successful businessmen in Vila Ulongue, the small town where our mission base is, had been complaining about the noise that we make at the church services and prayer meetings because he has tenants near the mission base, and has threatened to have the government stop us.  The side of his body was  partly paralyzed and he complained of acute lower back pain.  Moses could not join our team at the beginning in Estima because he had to arrange for the burning (baking?) of the building bricks that we are making to raise funds for the ministry.  It turns out that this is the man that needed to arrange the carrying of all the firewood to burn the bricks, and after negotiation with Moses he agreed to do it.  A little later Moses prayed for him – no more paralysis, no more pain – he said this God of ours is real, and that he and his whole household will follow Jesus and will attend our church, they need to learn more about God.  Praise God, reminds me of    "…But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Jos 24:15. 
 
-    One of the churches that our team had started during a previous trip to Mutarara has had to close.  A little tough to hear since it was one of the few Foursquare churches in the middle of town, but it turned out that they could not afford to rent a building in town.  We will pray with the pastor today and talk about their options, please join us in that prayer.
 
-    We have made some missionary friends in Vila, they were helping translate the Bible into Yungwe.  They built a house in a small village in the mountains between Songo and Estima that they have not even been able to visit for over a year.  The village only has a Jehova's Witness church.  I was very happy to hear that they want the house to be used for God's purposes, they would be very happy if we could start another church there, and the pastor/leader could live in their house.  Please pray for wisdom.
 
-    Sadly our neighbor at the mission base died of malaria while we were in Estima.  Please pray for her family. 
 
-    Pray for the Mozambique presidential elections on Oct 28th.  There are three parties running, please pray for peaceful elections as in the past we have seen some violence although we do not see any evidence of that now, and also pray for continued favor from the government.  A number of risky things have happened that we're not comfortable with, but God has protected us – for example, the ruling party taking our car for a few days during the campaign and our bus one day, later accusations that we were collaborating with one of the opposition parties were proved false and our claims that we are not politically aligned came through.  We're being warned that we may need to change some of our plans on and near election day, I'm praying that we don't need to (would affect Macanga outreach).
 
-    There has been a lot of laughter in the team.  For example, yesterday when our seemingly intelligent dinner for the seminar found a way to jump out of the car on the move through an open window.  The goat escaped.  A couple of hours later two of the local girls finally returned with it (I hope it was the same one).
 
Thank you and abundant blessings on you. We stand together as the body of Christ, each taking our part in the work of expanding the kingdom at this season. It is happening all around me and you, we just need to open our eyes to see the greatness of our Mighty Awesome God. Hallalujah!! He has risen and He is ALIVE.

Cyclone devastates Andhra Pradesh India

Dear beloved Rev. Jorge

Once again I am writing the Cyclone Disaster which affected in our State our neighbor district of Krishna, Nellore and Karnool. I have got this information recently.

The heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka came on the back of one of the worst droughts in India. Hundreds of millions of worth of crops have been damaged in the worst floods in a century. Lots of people have died and over 1.5 million made homeless. More than a million people are now living in temporary relief camps, with others desperately seeking shelter and sustenance. More than 200 villages remain cut-off, though waters are now receding, and in some places food and medicines have been air-dropped by Indian Armed Forces helicopters.

There are Relief workers are trying to transport food and medicines to hundreds of thousands of people who remain cut off in their villages by flood waters. "Rice and other crops in an area of 260,000 hectares (642,000 acres) have been destroyed," said State Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Rao. In India 60 percent of the working population relies directly on the land to make a living and another 10 percent indirectly, economists say.

Pastors have had their own church buildings swamped by the floods. So the situation is so terrible. We have come to know that they don't have safe drinking water, they can't use the latrine because they all are broken; they are not getting food, there are no medical facilities in the affected area." So I ask you to please think and pray for these Victims comfort.

Where Have All the Christians Gone?

The number of people who claim no religious affiliation, meanwhile, has doubled since 1990 to fifteen percent, its highest point in history.

Christianity is plummeting in America, while the number of non-believers is skyrocketing.

A shocking new study of Americans' religious beliefs shows the beginnings of a major realignment in Americans' relationship with God. The American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) reveals that Protestants now represent half of all Americans, down almost 20 percent in the last twenty years. In the coming months, America will become a minority Protestant nation for the first time since the pilgrims.

The number of people who claim no religious affiliation, meanwhile, has doubled since 1990 to fifteen percent, its highest point in history. Non-believers now represent the third-highest group of Americans, after Catholics and Baptists.

Other headlines:

1) The number of Christians has declined 12% since 1990, and is now 76%, the lowest percentage in American history.

2) The growth of non-believers has come largely from men. Twenty percent of men express no religious affiliation; 12% of women.

3) Young people are fleeing faith. Nearly a quarter of Americans in their 20's profess no organized religion.

4) But these non-believers are not particularly atheist. That number hasn't budged and stands at less than 1 percent. (Agnostics are similarly less than 1 percent.) Instead, these individuals have a belief in God but no interest in organized religion, or they believe in a personal God but not in a formal faith tradition.

The implications for American society are profound. Americans' relationship with God, which drove many of the country's great transformations from the pilgrims to the founding fathers, the Civil War to the civil rights movement, is still intact. Eighty-two percent of Americans believe in God or a higher power.

But at the same time, the study offers yet another wake-up call for religious institutions.

First, catering to older believers is a recipe for failure; younger Americans are tuning out.

Second, Americans are interested in God, but they don't think existing institutions are helping them draw closer to God.

Finally, Americans' interest in religion has not always been stable. It dipped following the Revolution and again following Civil War. In both cases it rebounded because religious institutions adapted and found new ways of relating to everyday Americans.

Today, the rise of disaffection is so powerful that different denominations needs to band together to find a shared language of God that can move beyond the fading divisions of the past and begin moving toward a partnership of different-but-equal traditions.

Or risk becoming Europe, where religion is fast becoming an afterthought.

Dear Church and Family

It is almost time to return to the United States. The Bible says we enter His courts with praise on our lips and thanksgiving in our hearts and an old hymn says "Count your many blessings and see what God has done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We have been in Guatemala almost 27 years and we feel GOD CONTINUES TO USE US IN MANY different ways. We were last in the states in 2005. We want to report some of those changes to many of you.

We thank you for your prayers for Javier. He was healed of cancer. Some of you prayed for him from our last prayer letter.

Then we had a surprise visit from a group of young people from Maryland and Texas. We passed out a lot of tracts and had dramas on the streets and in a public school and private school. The best part of the dramas is that a little boy of twelve years old accepted Jesus. He has some emotional trouble as sometimes in class he would make animal sounds. However he is a very intellgent boy and always manages to pass Cliff's English test. Cliff said to him now Jesus is your best friemd. He said that's right.

Also there the security guard who works at the school. Cliff talked him about Jesus: This man was down and out and a heavy drinker but he was taken in by rescue mission. Guess what? He has not taken a drink in 6 years and has been reunited with his family and has been able to hold a job. God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform.

Once again thank you so much for your help over the years.

Mozambique "traditional' dancers come to Jesus

This is just a short note to share with you a little more of what God is doing here in Mozambique.  I don't have any idea when you'll get this because there's no internet here in Estima where we arrived late last night.  We have now started a seminar for leaders (around 15 pastors and 38 other leaders), and tonight we will hold our first crusade here.
 
We were busy celebrating after dedicating a new church building (entirely managed by the village and church members).  A group of "traditional dancers" came to disrupt our celebration, many were nervous about the possibility of violence breaking out.  Most of you probably know about these traditional dancers who practice ancestor worship and see themselves as animals, normally getting very upset if they are referred to as human beings.  I was surprised as they usually hide from us, it's rare that we get a glimpse of them, and risky to take their pictures.  After a little while of tense discussion, and then not so tense, they all decided to invite Jesus into their lives !!!  Isn't the Holy Spirit exciting?  One of them even came back to watch the Jesus Film when we showed it later that night.  Here are some pictures so you can visualize this better.
 
During that celebration, it was also nice to take part in the wedding of one of the church elders.  Weddings do not happen in villages like this, they refer to themselves as married when they start living together. But now that we have introduced them to the concept and invited all "married" couples to now get married before God, this couple with children is the first one, to be followed by many more.  Kenneth and I needed to temporarily give up our wedding rings until after they were married, of course in the village only our team had any rings.  
 
I hope this is not ancient history by the time you get it, I suspect it may be next Monday on our way to Mutarara through Tete.  Please keep praying for God's will to be done here.  Also keep praying for the vehicles, as we were a day late starting this seminar because of one of the cars. Also pray for the team's health and even their voices, with all this preaching, teaching, singing and translating, together with all the dust, some of the voices are getting strained.

Dearest friends,
            We're having such challenging days!
The end of August we had the visit of a well known Argentine preacher, now famous in all America, Alberto Mottessi, who preaches to presidents, leadership and multitudes over the world (based in California today). When Humberto and I went to his dissertation at the Sheraton Hotel, where he spoke to about 100 businesspeople, I enjoyed meeting his wife, Noemí (photo) who remembered Dad so well in the beginning of their ministry. She recalled that Dad came with his evangelistic team, the whole works! to a small congregation where she belonged, and that that had impressed her. She also remembered Dad's chalk paintings and the first years at the Lake Valley Conference Center. So… it was a pleasure to share such wonderful memories! She is active with her husband, and also Director of Family Programs that are reaching many.
Then, of course, as I wrote last time, we had the visit of the Provincial Symphonic Band to our congregation, a wonderful time to share the music with neighbors and people from the congregation. The program included the following, among others: Jesus, Joy of all Men (by J.S. Bach), music with a wonderful testimony of our Lord, Porgy and Bess, and even some tango! Humberto is with the director, a Brazilian Christian, who is living in Córdoba today, ending the night with prayer. The 67 musicians filled a large part of the stage with their instruments!
 
 
Then a large Congress was held across our church at the stadium Orfeo, with a well known Latin speaker called César Castellanos (from Colombia) with 8,500 people. In the next photo you can see our church full with pastors and leaders for a talk he held. We served lunch during the Congress for over 1,000 people each day for 3 days with a crew of 25 from our church! It was a giant fast food restaurant during those hours!
At the same Congress, the governor, his wife and 2 of his ministers were present, and pastor Castellanos led the governor in a prayer of salvation in front of 8,500 people, and then everybody raised their hands in prayer and blessing for the government, an amazing impact! We believe it will change the spiritual climate of our rich and complicated province! Humberto and I were so moved during that moment!
There is a lot more, but I will leave it for our next newsletter, which will probably be arriving early December!

Pray for India: Third Death in the Forest...Medical Camp Will Freely Treat Tribal Poor

   We are very sad to say that one more tribal lady in the jungle/forest was passed away. This is third death due to malaria,diahoriah, typhoid, TB and AIDS.

     The fourth one is battling for her life. Many other are suffering from diahoeriah and malaria and other diseases. More over they do not have proper drinking water and no food for them to eat.

    One of our missionaries namely brother Anand Paul and brother Joseseph went to these people. They are desperate for life and food and drink.

   When I got another phone call from brother Anand Paul and explained all the details in the forest, my heart is broken. My burden has been increased and made me to be more quick to help them with the medical camp and some food stuff besides sharing the GOSPEL to them in the time of need and trouble.

   By God's grace and with your prayers I got two doctors and one lab technician for helping this camp with their services for those poor people in the jungle. Now we are in need of medicines, two nurses, transporation and some food stuff.

     We just need $850 now to meet all expanses. Please I humbly request you to continue to pray and stand with this IMMEDIATE NEED OF FREE MEDICAL CAMP.

     IT IS FAR MORE BETTER TO CONDUCT THIS MEDICAL CAMP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE LOOSING MANY SOULS TO HELL.

I say this all with love. Here is my logical spiel in regards to God's Word in Exodus 12 v.s. Judaism's Rosh Hashanah. Perhaps this is something to share with others, especially if you are a follower of Yeshua Messiah and are practicing Rosh HaShanah. In other words if you are practicing Judaism, even if you splash it with a bit of Yeshua, is this what Yeshua would do? Did Moses or Yeshua practice Rosh HaShanah? No. Then why should you? I bolded and underlined specific text to stress a blatant point

So according to God a/k/a The Creator of the universe a/k/a the LORD, YHVH. Yehovah and in His Word, the Tanakh, as He spoke unto Moses and Aaron, the first month of the year is around Pesach (Passover) time. Is it Passover time right now? No. So why does Judaism claim this to be the beginning of the New Year and command Jews to keep Rosh HaShanah? I find it odd that some Messianic ministries (who are believers who are older than me) and other Jewish believers send out Rosh HaShanah imagery and newsletters as well, even though Rosh HaShanah is blatantly not Biblical and confuses many believers into thinking that they should practice Rabbinic Judaism, which is counter to the God and His Word. Doing this is perpetuating a lie down to the next generation and I feel it is not appropriate. I understand that Jews who don't follow Yeshua nor understand that Rosh HaShanah is not biblical send out such content online but believers should know better. or if they didn't know, whell now they will know for the next time. You will now see through cited sources how rabbis have altered and changed God's appointed times. Let's see what Judaism says about Rosh HaShanah and it's origin.

The origins of Rosh Hashanah may be sought in a royal enthronement ritual of biblical times, though the Bible itself never mentions the "New Year" or "Day of Judgment" aspects of the holiday. Even though Rosh Hashanah falls in the seventh month, later rabbinic tradition decided to designate it the beginning of the year. In the Mishna, a Talmudic commentary, Rosh Hashanah was made the start of the Jewish year. The tradition of having a day for peaceful reflection, repentance and judgment began. Rosh Hashanah is one of four "New Years" in Jewish tradition, but Rosh Hashanah became the New Year for years, and the changing of the calendar. Traditions developed such as tashlich, or throwing crumbs into a body of water to symbolize getting rid of sins. Another is the tradition of eating apples dipped in honey to wish for a sweet year. A festive meal, lighting candles and reciting prayers focused on forgiveness are all part of the Rosh Hashanah tradition now. No work is permitted, and Rosh Hashanah is considered one of two of the most major holidays on the Jewish calendar.

At this same time, G-d reviews the status of his creation and determines if he or she merits another year in this world (Where is this is this in the Tanakh?????)....Though that judgment is inscribed, it is not yet sealed and can still be changed at least for another ten days. G-d waits until Yom Kippur to seal the book for the year.

In fact, the name Rosh Hashanah came later in Mishnaic times, about 10 B.C.E. until about 200 C.E. or 220 C.E., when the Mishnah of the Talmud was compiled and codified. So how did Rosh Hashanah extend to two days? During the time of Rabban (Rabbi) Yohanan ben Zakkai (circa 1 C.E. - 80 C.E.) of the region of Judea/Israel, who was an important Jewish Sage and a disciple of the great Rabbi Hillel, Rosh Hashanah became a two-day holiday.

During this period there was a revival of Hebrew studies in Rome, centered around the local yeshiva, Metivta de Mata Romi. A number of well-known scholars, Rabbi Kalonymus b. Moses and Rabbi Jacob "Gaon" and Rabbi Nathan b. Jehil (who wrote a great talmudic dictionary, the Arukh), contributed to Jewish learning and development. Let's get down to Bible basics. Throwing pieces of bread into water will not help you atone for your sins, nor doing tons of exhausting and confusing rabbinic liturgy.

John 3:16 in The Brit Chadasha (New Covenant) states:

3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 3:17 For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. 3:19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 3:20 For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."

Jeremiah 31:31-34 in the Tanakh (Old Covenant) states:

31:31 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 31:32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: 31:34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

Isaiah 53 in the Tanakh states:

He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 53:11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities. 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

If they read Isiah 53 at congregations this Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, it would be HUGE!

Look, I don't claim to be some mega macher scholar wih some big beard. I'm not old nor am I married with children and so I am not seen as legitimate by Jewish or Messianic Jewish elders. But I do have 29 years experience practicing Judaism, which most Messianic leadership or Messianics in general have no real clue about since most of them were not raised up in Yeshivas and Jewish private schools. To feel more Jewish and feel less persecuted, many just toss in Rabbinic Judaism into the Jesus mix so they won't be persecuted by their families and the surrounding Jewish community instead of being set-apart. Also, they never grew up with Judaism and so they now find this confusing and mystical religion "beautiful" and throw it in to the mix. Why? There is no need. You are confusing people, especially the children. This is a sad way to water down the Gospel.

Some might say to me, well Christmas and Easter are pagan too. I agree. I don't do Rosh HaShanah, the tradiitonal Hellenistic and Talmudic Passover seder, Lag Ba Omer, get drunk and dress up in demonic or weird costumes on Purim, light mystical Kabbalah candles on Shabbat and Havdalah mystical candles, I don't follow the Talmud, Mishna, Kabbalah (nor really have a need to read it), I don't wear a hexagram Jewish star, wear a Talmudic kippah, etc and nor do I do Christmas and Easter.

Judaism, as I see it from experiencing it for 29 years prior to following Yeshua is like wandering in the desert for 40 years after exodusing out of Egypt. Nobody has a clue, everyone is asking each other for directions, nobody can decide on what the Truth is (since they don't really want to read it), they choose their own way instead of looking at the map, which is God's Word. If they just read God's Word, ebraced their Messiah Yeshua, they'd be out of the desert by now. If not for Yeshua/Jesus, I'd still be wandering in the desert with the rest of the lost Jews.

They like the desert, they like the suffering, they like controlling each other and being controlled, bowing down to other gods but showing up to shul twice a year (how many Jewish Buddhists and New Agers are there out there as well as Jewish Zionistic Atheists and practicers of the relligion called Feminism?). Judaism...it's their religion. They made it. They decide what to do with it. They do whatever they want with it. They change God's Word and appointed times, add "fence laws," find loopholes by creating other laws that supercede another law they made which they don't like, they stick together and make the goyim feel like they are 3rd class. This is what happens when you practice any and I mean any form of Judaism - period. It's elitism. I don't want any part in this nor will I pass down this lie to the next generation.

To many, ignorance is bliss. Ignorance is also a sure fire way of getting into hell. Don't go there. Read the Bible, repent of your sins, follow Yeshua and have everlasting life. You will be inscribed in the Lamb's book of life and be with God for eternity when your time is up here. It's your choice. God gave you free will. Follow Him in Truth.

Violence, bloodshed, eyewitness in Uganda by CMM friends and missionaries

Alissa Cooper was ordained by CMM in early 2008 before launching her vision for an

orphanage in Uganda. She has trained with Heidi Baker in Mozambique

and Michele Perry in the Sudan. She just got married Aug 15th to a wonderful,

native Ugandan, Vincent. They went to Kampala to buy roofing material and got trapped for

several days in the violence. Read below and pray for safety.

Peace in the Midst of Chaos 9-10-09

Today I have really had my invitation to the chaos and instability of
Africa-my first real encounter with a truly negative side of Africa.
Although I was less than 1 ½ miles away from gun shots and even nearer
to angry rioters, I thank God that I was protected and was not
directly in the middle of the violent outbursts. My newlywed husband
could not say the same, but I am extremely grateful to the Lord for
protecting him and enabling him to reach me safely.
Pastor Victor and I were in Kampala to purchase roofing materials for
the medical clinic we are constructing in Kyenjojo. We planned on
leaving for Kyenjojo in the afternoon, but our plans were quickly
changed as riots broke out in Kampala (the capital city of Uganda).
The riots were triggered by the government's decision to prevent the
King of the biggest tribe in Uganda from touring a particular area in
Uganda. The demonstrators exercised violence in various ways,
including burning tires, setting up road barricades, torching a petrol
station, and destroying other buildings. Shops were closed and
transport was stopped. Some people were beaten and/or killed.
Children were sent home from schools, and a number of medical
professionals even vacated the hospitals.

I left the capital city just before the rioting increased in severity.
I only witnessed people running, yelling, and beating drums. My
husband had remained in town to finalize everything, and we were going
to meet in a couple of hours. I soon found out that the situation had
become severe and even military police had been sent into the town to
have all of the vehicles removed from the city so that none of them
could be set on fire. Police were also firing bullets and releasing
tear gas. I tried to call my husband, but I was unable to reach him
because the network was experiencing difficulties. I could only pray
and trust that He was in the Lord's hands. After about four hours, he
contacted me and told me he was hiding in the house of one of his
friends because the situation was very terrible. He told me he did
not know when he would be able to leave because he had to wait for
things to calm down. After about four more hours, he contacted me
again telling me he was going to try to walk home because the
situation was worsening. With the Lord's help, he was able to run
quickly away from that area and safely reach the place where I was
staying. When he finally reached me, we were both so grateful to see
each other safe and sound.

In spite of all the excitement of the day, I am all the more confident
that God is in control and will watch over my life. I have found that
sometimes it takes extreme chaos to experience the overwhelming peace
of Jesus. I have found that you may not know what true courage is
until you experience true fear. I have found that only in our weakest
moments do we experience our strongest moments in Christ. Finally, I
continue to be reminded that it is not what we feel on the inside but
what we know in our minds and in our hearts that keeps us steady in a
world of instabilities. I am so thankful to have the Lord by my side
and his faithful promises in my mind and in my heart.

The riots are still continuing in some areas of Kampala, especially
the suburbs. Uganda really needs prayer. Please pray that this
situation is resolved and the rioting ends. Pray for the safety and
protection of the Ugandan people. 11 innocent people have already
been killed as a result of the violent outbursts conducted today. The
next couple of days are very crucial because Saturday is the day that
the king is to travel. I pray that there is a peaceful resolution to
this issue. Please also pray for Pastor Victor and I's safety. We
are hoping to travel to Kyenjojo tomorrow.

I just spoke with Alissa, for now things seem to be calmer. They are planning to leave for Kyenjojo in the next hour. They had allowed buses earlier to kyenjojo, then stopped them because they said the situation worsened again, However, now they are allowing them to take buses again. Please pray that Alissa and Victor arrive safely.
They are planning a meeting between the king and the president to try to resolve the situation, Please pray that this will result in a peaceful relationship between these two tribes.
Thank you so much for your prayers, Alissa told me this morning that because Victor was in the area where the riots broke out, he had tear gas in his eyes and they stopped him and almost burnt his motorcycle, but because it did not have a government sticker on it, the rioters left him go. This motorcycle is very important to Alissa and Victor, they do not have money for another one. Thanks again for your prayers, they mean more than we can imagine. Blessings to all of you. Vicki

Thanks a lot for all your prayers. We deeply appreciate you so much.

Our orphanage boy 'Madhu' is still sick, taking some medicine.

God is so good in our lives. He has been enabling us to do a greater things for His kingdom. Praise God.

We are very much praising God for all wonderful things in our lives and through our Gospel Team. Today another Hindu family has opened their hearts to the Gospel.There is a Hindu family, in the family there are four people(2men and 2women)who never heard the gospel. Me and our Gospel team visited their house and shared the gospel. Most exciting news is three of the family members want to come the Church. Praise God.

Now I see the flame of salvation is spreading around through LLM here in this Hindu community. Praise God.

On 14th of September, one of the most stronghold of Satan's village "Mudunuru" is going to be reached with the LLM Gospel Team. We are planning to conduct an open air meeting on the streets in the night.

This village never been preached the Gospel. There is no any servant of God to preach in this village. Our Gospel team is going to reach it with the message of HOPE and God willing we will pioneer the work of God at this village.

Please do pray for God's protection over the team. Please do pray for God's anointing over team.

The team needs some transporation(our 14years old van is rusted and broken now), Gospel literature, sound system, and food and drinking water for the team. So, the team needs only $200. Much prayer needed for Dr. Neelam Rassmann with CMM hospital in N. India.

Dear Intercessors,

Pray for Neelam Rassmann, wife of Director of the CMM hospital near Nepal border in India. She is very anointed and a Dr. a gynecologist. She is an articulate speaker. Ten years ago when I spontaneously named her Women's Ministry leader, the next day, many men did not come to services.

We have come a long way baby. She leads a powerful ministry of healing, deliverance, and depth, full of signs, wonders, visions, and more supernatural than the men, while faithfully submitting to her husband. I know they love each other very much. Please pray for her. Our God is more than able to bring her to fullness of divine health.

The first baby is their new adopted baby. Neelam is seen in some of these photos with glasses on. There is always a lot of construction going on, as this place treats 3-5000 patients per month, regardless of creed or ability to pay. We have the MorningStar Academy here and a church with a new, young pastor.

CMM is so honored to have the nieces of Nate Saint, Evelyn Saint Jimenez in Argentina, and Martha Saint Berberian,in Guatemala and their husbands and ministries now part of CMM global. 

Last month Jorge and Anna flew to CA to attend one of our son's marriage and we flew at 40,000 feet. That was the highest I had ever flown. We could see the curvature of the earth very clearly and the darkness above the mid-day sky.  I believe the Lord is calling us higher and higher in the spirit realm too.

 (Cape Canaveral, Florida)—Proving that space flight is not the highest  calling for a pilot, astronaut Patrick Forrester is taking a bit of missionary  history onboard space shuttle "Discovery." The aim of the two-week orbital  mission is to equip the International Space Station. (Discovery was  scheduled to lift off on Tuesday, but bad weather forced a delay in the launch,  which has been tentatively rescheduled.)

The item comes from  martyred missionary pilot Nate Saint's Piper PA-14, which is on display at the  headquarters of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) in Nampa, Idaho. Saint and  four other missionaries were martyred on a sandbar in Ecuador on Jan. 8, 1956,  by a tribe of Waodani Indians.  
The  incident sparked international news coverage and renewed interest in missionary  service. Several of the tribesmen that killed Saint and the others were later  converted to Christianity by relatives of the slain  missionaries.

"Bringing attention to and renewing interest in missions  would be a great result of this experience," said Forrester, who was born in El  Paso, Texas, the year after the martyrdoms. "My deepest intent is to honor Nate  Saint, the Saint family and all missionaries around the world." (Photo:  MAF.org) 
The piece is from the Piper's battery box and has received approval for the  flight from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) after  conforming to strict size and weight restrictions.

Forrester, who will be  making his third shuttle flight, has logged more than 4,500 hours in more than  50 different aircraft and has been with NASA 16 years. In addition to his time  at NASA, he spent over 26 years as an Army aviator. Yet his dream has been to  assist with the high calling of missionary aviation. 

"I've always had a  heart for missions," Forrester said. "When I visualize what I might do after I  end my career at NASA, always in the back of my mind is going into the mission  field in some way. If I could go tomorrow and be a pilot with an organization  like MAF, I think that's what I'd do."

Whether you are an astronaut, a  missionary or something else, Forrester has a simple approach to discovering  what career journey you should take. "There are so many needs out there,"  Forrester said. "People need to figure out where their passion and their talents  intersect with God's plan for the world."

Forrester heard about Saint and  the other four missionary martyrs while attending a Steven Curtis Chapman  concert. "He told the story of the missionaries who had gone down and had lost  their lives," Forrester recalled. "That story just fascinated me, and through  that I heard of the book 'Through the Gates of Splendor.' That's when I really  first understood about MAF."

Forrester asked MAF to provide a part of  Saint's plane for the shuttle mission. When the mission is completed, Forrester  will return the piece to MAF, providing a certificate confirming its presence on  the space flight. MAF plans to display the battery box part and certificate at  its headquarters. Forrester noted that Saint "could have never imagined that we  would have the opportunity to take it to a space station."

As for  himself, Forrester sees missions in his career flight plan. "We are all called  to serve God in some manner," Forrester said. "I have had the opportunity to  participate in several short-term mission trips to Uganda, Canada, Puerto Rico  and South Africa. Each time I have developed a heart for the people we served. I  believe my wife and I will continue to serve in the mission field for the rest  of our lives—whether it is at home or overseas, short-term or  full-time."

Could it possibly be true that one of the most insightful voices of clarity about current events in America could come from Pravda, the premier Russian Newspaper? An editorial published in Pravda is a sweeping summary of what is now happening in America that is, and should, cause every American to consider what is transpiring in our country now. The editorial begins with a stunning summary of America's present plight, and then elaborates powerfully. It may come across as insulting, but if we are wise, it will not be insulting, but sobering. The following is an abbreviated excerpt of the editorial.

"It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American dissent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people….

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in D.C. that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonald's burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy." Pride blinds the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations," which were for the most part little more than Sunday circuses, and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more than happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past months has been truly impressive. His spending and printing money has been record-setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic (Germany in the 1930s) and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breathtaking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American President now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs, and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American President has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies (guarantees). I am sure that if given the chance they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama and U.K.'s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper. . .but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury Department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator (actually "Congressman") Barney Franks . . . and his Marxist enlightenment has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

     I personally applaud President Obama for trying to "reset" our relations with Russia, which had become strained under President Bush. Russia and America should now be allies and very good friends. However, President Obama has some basic misunderstandings about Russia, just as he obviously does about America.

     Russia is in fact going in the opposite direction of the United States, gradually being liberated from the most terrible of all human yokes of bondage, Marxism, and they accurately now see America falling to this ultimate evil. Regardless of the distorted picture the American media has presented about Russia and Putin in particular, they are determined to forever be free of Marxism because they have experienced its evils firsthand. No one knows better that Marxism has never worked, and can never work, better than those who have been under its terrible yoke.

     Prime Minister Putin did bring increasing control over Russia, but it was not for the reasons assumed by most in the West. When someone has been in prison for more than just a few months, with but rare exceptions, their "decision maker" gets broken, and they have a hard time making even the most basic personal decisions. For this reason, recently freed prisoners have a hard time coping with freedom that comes at them too fast. This is why many released prisoners have such a hard time being free that they will commit crimes and purposely get caught in order to go back to prison where they feel more secure. In this same way, Russia had been in prison for more than seventy years and few Russians were able to cope with their new freedoms. Some even started desiring communism again where their lives were controlled for them.

     However, returning to communism economically was not possible because communism will bankrupt even the wealthiest nation fast, and Russia was bankrupt. With the vacuum being quickly filled by organized crime, Putin brought back a measure of control until the people could grow in the decisiveness needed for true freedom, and he has done this without resorting back to Marxism. Marxism does not work, and it is the ultimate form of human slavery, plundering mankind of not only its wealth, but of its most basic humanity.

     China also learned that Marxism does not work and they gradually freed their people economically. As the people have learned to cope with this freedom and prosper, they are demanding freedom in other areas too and are gradually getting them. To the astonishment of the Chinese and the Russians, America is going in the opposite direction, fast! Even the President of France chided the Obama Administration that their economic policies were "paving a road to hell."

     Just as Russia had to reign in freedom because it was given too fast for the people to cope with it, the fast Marxist changes that the Obama Administration is trying to impose on America are starting to create a big kickback. The Town Hall Meetings that began with the outrage about the Health Care legislation proposed in HR3200 is quickly becoming much larger in scope, as well it should. The mentality behind HR3200 and other recent legislation is becoming clearer, and is shocking and waking up America to what is really being imposed on us.

     Studies have shown that America is a center-right nation. If you had a scale of 1 to 10, with one being the extreme left, and 10 being the extreme right, America would be a 6.5. After the shocking economic earthquake in the last year of the Bush Administration, America was willing to move a little more to the left, which has proven it is always willing to do under economic shaking. However, most were expecting Obama to govern from the center, and maybe try to take America to a 4 on the scale, but almost no one foresaw the jerking of America to the extreme left that has come. Contrary to the editorial in Pravda, it is not likely that America will go this way as "sheeple," but will resist with increasing resolve. If the Obama Administration is not pushed back to the center fast, we will see tensions rising with corresponding speed the way the nation has been jerked to the left.

     It is already becoming widely discussed that we are now in the biggest constitutional crisis since the Civil War. If this tension is not removed by a turning back to the center by Obama quickly, the next few months may be some of the most intense America has experienced internally since the Civil War. How this will go will become clear soon after Congress comes back into session. It is obvious that there is now much more than our economy and our health care system that is at stake. We, therefore, must ask ourselves right now two most important questions:

What should we do as Christians?

What should we do as citizens?

Dearest friends,
We are leaving behind a cold winter with complications due to the flu situation, but now things are gradually going back to normal, whatever "normal" may mean in Argentina! But so blessed with a wonderful move of God these days, and grateful to be part of what God is doing in this part of the world.
As to the government projects, 45 churches are receiving musical instruments, computers, hair dressing equipment, sports elements, etc. with which to serve the community. We received musical equipment that will enhance our worship, our music classes and events and such. A great blessing! The four Christian schools were blessed with 8 updated computers.
We traveled to Uruguay to minister to a group of 40 leaders, (see photo with the President of the Uruguayan organization and his wife and the photo below) and sharing with Humberto on principles of leadership, a block away from the lovely beach there, but very cold, camp style!! Then we had a week's vacation with another family of pastors and friends, enjoying rest and wonderful scenery.
Something most interesting has also turned up… through a pastor friend, we were offered the visit and concert of the Banda Sinfónica de la Provincia de Córdoba for September 12th , in our church building, in which we are inviting the whole community to come and share with us that evening. This is the second time the Band of over 60 musicians will be in an evangelical church at no cost!! And then we discovered that the director is a (Brazilean) Christian, wonderful!
Then we are also involved organizing a project to work with men who come out of prison, in training them for jobs and also through a spiritual chaplainry. (If you have information in this area, we need material and advice). Another wonderful thing: there is a famous prison section in a large prison in Buenos Aires, called Olmos, which holds men who have become Christians, and it has become a model prison, even in the world! There are no doors on the rooms (only curtains) and the men are allowed to have tools to work with and learn a trade, which does not happen in an average prison. What is interesting, is that a secular documentary film was produced about this ministry, and will be held in different cinemas over the country, sharing the witness of this wonderful work! Ari and I met with the producer and the chaplain of the Olmos prison, so we are learning quite a bit about how they function and how God is reaching these people.
I wrote to you before about a youth group being held in the home of a lady from church, a hair dresser who loves the Lord and is passionate about reaching the young people in her neighborhood, where there are many addictions and violence. She was gathering 30 young people in her home, in a crowded living room… but through the government we have been offered a "centro vecinal", a civic center in which to hold these meetings in a large comfortable setting right in the same neighborhood.. with room for more than 100 people!
And Harvest Evangelism has confirmed its annual conference in the city of Córdoba this year, for the first time, in October, to train and encourage several thousand pastors and leaders of our country in that event, with preachers such as Cindy Jacobs, David Thompson and Edgardo Silvoso, among others, and we are also active in its preparation. With Humberto we also taught a marriage seminar in August, to about 25 couples, on subjects like communication and restoration. Then I also team-translated with my brother David to a group of short term missionaries of Missionary Ventures, on forgiveness, healing and such, a lovely time with these brothers and sisters that come to work with a great heart for people, to build and be useful to needy congregations here.
So… we ask the Lord for strength and wisdom in the midst of such busy times, in which the Lord is opening doors like never before!

Chief Minister (Christian) Disappeared in India!!

Our state Government ANDHRAPRADESH Chief Minister and his flight was disappeared in the deepest forest in our state 9 hours ago this morning by 9.30 am they lost signal. There are many assumptions about him since they did not find. There are 12 special flights searching for him in the Jungle (deep forest) right now. He is good man and Christian man and he is standing in the side of Christians in India. We need to pray for him that God may protect him and rescue him and give to our state safely.

Please watch your news channels you will find news which became world popular news now. Please pray for him

Dr.Jorge and sister Anna Parrott,
   Thanks a lot for all your prayers for Hephzibah. Yesturday, I took her to the blood test. It is diagnosed that it is typhoid. And also her ESR is very high now. So he has very bad coughs.
    Now she has been adimitted in the Hospital. She has to take anti-biotic injections, and pills and saline water. She is very weak now. For every five hours she has to get her injection now. We have to pay some medical bill urgently.
    Now, our enemy is attacking our finances now. We just live by Faith and Prayer now. Please do pray for God's immediate provision for the medical bills. We trust in Jesus.
     It is another amazing God's protection is: we live in a house where there are thick bush surrended by. Every day we face many challenges from reptiles, insects, and monkeys and mosquitos. This morning a big cobra came inside of the house. Only Yori, and little Joshua and myself were there. There was no stick to kill it.
    I was shocked to see it in our house. Immediately there was a word came into my tongue that "I bind the cobra in the name of Jesus and by the blood of Jesus." I keep pronouncing it. Miraculously the cobra could go out nor do any harm me nor any body in the house. At least for 15 minutes, I just stood like that by saying that "blood of Jesus."
    While I was saying the blood of Jesus, miracuoulsy one of my friends came suddenly, and killed the cobra.
    Praise God for His amazing protection. I really thank God for the resurrected power of Jesus when I pronounced "the blood of Jesus and name of Jesus."
        Once again thank you so much for all your prayers and support for the work of God as whole.
