Urgent Prayers and Appeal for Funds to Help Malawi Friends in Heavy Floods

We ask your prayers for dear friends and long-time members (15years) in Malawi.  They recently had severe flooding. During the pandemic, many in this poor nation have already been suffering in the weak economy.  According to ABC News "Thousands more have been made homeless and have sought refuge in churches and schools. A major road has been cut off by flooding and many people are feared trapped by the surging waters, according to Malawi government officials."  https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/malawi-hit-flooding-caused-tropical-storm-ana-dead-82464391

Included in a major report from the Borgen Project "In 2016, Malawi’s poverty rate reached 51.5%. That number remained slightly unchanged at 52% in 2018, according to a 2018 integrated household report, which emerged as a result of a joined effort between the Malawian government and UNICEF. The report also highlights child poverty as a particularly problematic issue as more than two-thirds of children in rural areas in Malawi live in poverty." https://borgenproject.org/poverty-in-malawi/

CMM has helped thousands over the years in many nations in times of disaster.  In Matthew 25:40 we are reminded "And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [[a]in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me."

Our friends in Malawi are strategically positioned to offer help to our brothers and sisters hurting from the flood damage. Homes and churches need to be repaired, and in some cases rebuilt.   Unlike general disaster relief organizations who do great work in times of need, CMM focuses on known, trusted, proven, and accountable friends to help those they know. We know them and they have been fruitful in the past as well as accountable. This is a key tenet of CMM's wise stewardship covenant with the Lord and our donors.

We ask you to pray and support as the Lord leads you to express our love for one another. Your prayers are precious and much needed at this time. All glory to our Father! Some plant, some water, and God gets all the glory.

Pray and give today at HTTP://cmm.world

Please share with friends, churches and family.

blessings and shalom x 3
