Mantles With Pockets and Surgical Angels
by Jorge Parrott
My wife and kids often tease me about all my pockets. I rarely will wear a shirt or pants or shorts without first checking for pockets. Hey, I need my pen, my Palm Pilot, my wallet, my business cards, sometimes even my passport, in case I get a dispatch, I want to be ready. This morning the Lord asked me to check for pockets in a vision I had a few months back. Pockets, you say? Yeah, pockets in mantles!
A few months back at a conference at Morningstar, near Charlotte, Kingsley Fletcher gave several powerful messages. At the end of one his anointed sermons, he related how God was pouring down mantles freely for followers of Jesus to pick up and walk in greater authority, anointing, and signs and wonders. I have been given two mantles and I know some people who have been given some very significant mantles, like Derek Prince's mantle! That day God's presence was very strong and many were touched and some saw the mantles coming.
I was blessed to see glimpses of thousands of shiny, golden, translucent mantles descending. Some looked newer than others, some more banged up than others, some had pockets. Like when Elisha received Elijah's mantle, it came with something very powerful and very amazing, a double portion of Elijah's anointing. (What's in your pocket?) There seemed to be more mantles than people. What a glorious sight, holy!
After some brief time the mantles that were not grabbed hold of were taken back up. My heart was saddened for those who for whatever reason did not lay hold and claim what God was graciously giving. Was it unbelief, shame, past rejections, pride? How many times in my own life had I not taken up what the Lord had been so mercifully giving? I pray often, "Lord, help us to see with Your Eyes, help us see others the way You see them, and Lord, help me to see myself the way You see me."
He gives us all what we need. We have it, it is a completed work. As Tony Miller says, "we ain't getting' it, we got it!" God knows the end from the beginning, because He is beyond time, and by faith, so are we. We need to have faith in all areas, not just in some, including His transcendent goodness, will, and wisdom.
Like on past trips to India, where I have seen the Lord do amazing things like no where else, He had me to say, "we are nothing in ourselves, but by the authority we have in Jesus' name, be made whole!" That kind of authority, mixed with humility, where everyone was healed and then later we would say, "the God Who healed you, wants to be your savior", and then they received the free gift of salvation after being healed. Hey, it's His thing, however He wants to do it…I am just so blessed to witness His wonder and glory anytime and in any order.
We barely know the depth and extent of the Father's love. May we all draw closer, day by day, moment by moment. Rick Joyner recently mentioned how he does not like waste or inefficiency. In the past, I have had many jobs where one of my primary duties was to reduce waste and inefficiencies. I can really relate with that sentiment. While God is a God of more than enough, He does not want us to waste what He has given us: like talents, money, relationships, etc. These are all of great value as tools to build the Kingdom of God.
Rick said that God does not like wasting either. As an example, Rick shared scriptures in the Gospel where Jesus fed 5,000 and after all were done eating, He told the disciples to pick up the leftovers.
Recently, while on a mission trip with a medical team to Guatemala, when Dr. K, the lead doctor and organizer of the team asked us all to share on our last night, the Lord said to me to tell them, "welcome to normal Christianity. I told the team that they had seen many miracles, (7,000 got free exams and adjustments and healing and many were prayed for and got healed and maybe 1,500 gave their hearts to Jesus), and experienced a fresh touch from the Lord they were to value greatly what the Lord had done. I shared with them the scripture about Jesus telling the disciples to pick up the leftovers, and that this team should not forget to "pick up the leftovers" of this trip, nor forget what God had done in them and through them. I encouraged them all to not waste what they experienced.
All the team members were precious and we all had such a wonderful time and great fun too. Dr. Rob Kessinger said that on this trip there were more healings and salvations and miracles than on any previous trip, by God's grace alone.
We are to be good stewards of what God entrusts to our care. This includes the "leftovers" in life. Leftovers might include food, material resources, tools for building the Kingdom, and even people. Let's pray for greater discernment to not waste what God values and provides.
The Lord has shown me in the last year many times how He is at work in surprising ways and often I miss His presence if I am too busy or too inflexible to notice His gentle, often unseen ways.
The mantles coming down during Kingsley's message impressed me to ponder how much God wants to give and we either don't recognize it or refuse it, or don't believe it, or think we are not worthy. All of these indicate errors in our thinking and believing process. Lord, I repent now for not believing the way You intended me to believe, forgive me.
This reminds me of two times at our former church in Virginia where after a powerful word I saw hundreds of angels with surgical instruments hovering around the ceiling waiting to do "surgery". It could have been for physical healing, marital, financial, any need at all would have been dealt with and healing and wholeness given, but very few acknowledged their need. Those that did acknowledge their need experienced the miraculous. Those angels were sent there to "do business". Whatever need anyone had would have been dealt with and victory would have been there for the taking. But, only a few, cried out for God. The "unused" angels departed, not completing their assignments, because their assigned "soldiers" thought they did not need them. How sad indeed!
This is not the pastor's fault either. All believers are called to be a participator, not just a spectator. Your pastor can not do your assignment for you.
Twice I witnessed the great dispatch in that place and twice I saw many angels depart, unable to do what God intended them to do.
You are part of a generational team, so to speak. The work God has called you to often can not be completed in one generation. How is that so? Ask God, I don't know.
Take a look at Hebrews 11:38-40 (the Message) states, "We have stories of those who were stoned, sawed in two, murdered in cold blood; stories of vagrants wandering the earth in animal skins, homeless, friendless, powerless—the world didn't deserve them!—making their way as best they could on the cruel edges of the world.
39-40Not one of these people, even though their lives of faith were exemplary, got their hands on what was promised. God had a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours. "
Not complete apart from ours!!!! Did He really say that? Later in Hebrews 12 the Word talks about "a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on". In the Message version, Hebrews 12:1-3" Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever."
Our lives are not our own. And with team members like David, Jonathan, Isaiah, Paul, and so many others, do you think you will get out of this life alive? If you are truly a new creation, what does it matter what the Lord asks you to do? A servant's heart just says, "Lord, what would you have me to do?"
Be encouraged, for you are part of the generational teamwork at this present time, and the race we will finish had some very amazing team members, like Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, and our big brother, Jesus, savior of all mankind. Man, oh man, now, if that is not exciting, I don't know what is.
I declare now, by faith, a fresh release of that "pioneer spirit", like the heroes of the faith had. Though they did not live a glamorous life, they who know the Lord intimately were more concerned with obedience, at any price, than glory in self.
Many were lonely, rejected, pummeled and pounced upon, yet, their eyes were on the One Who stands waiting beyond the grave. Let us see by faith, beyond the grave, looking to Jesus and the myriad of saints cheering us on. You got it, right? E. W. Kenyon, a great writer once said, "it does not take faith to possess what you already have!" Don't waste faith, or should I say misdirect faith, (there is an inexhaustible supply of faith) on things that are yours already.
I declare in to America right now to stop wasting God. He blesses us to bless others, feed and care for the poor, win souls, disciple saints, to do all the works of the Kingdom, not sink into a hedonistic stupor, blind to His calling, purposes, and destiny He has for us. Awake America! It is a wondrous time to sing and dance!
May we have a "blood transfusion" in the Body of Christ, by taking weaker cells to where there is life, signs, and wonders, dependency on Father God, and then bring the resurrected, rejuvenated cells back to help fan the flames of revival fire in the US. The blood is flowing. Signs of life are returning in this season. Rejoice!
Stepping out in that pioneer spirit are those who look beyond the temporal, and those things which are but for a season, to beyond the veil and those things which are eternal and real. Welcome to normal Christianity. Pick up your mantel, check your pockets, and when the surgical angels come, be ready, to witness precision fine tuning, and prophetic equipping and re-shifting into fullness, with resurrection powered accuracy.
Speak to those things that be not as though they were, holy one, sent by God. Go forth now! Take someone with you on that pioneering journey into normal eternal ruling and reigning with Lord Jesus. You were made for it. See it, touch it, breathe it! May your heart overflow with God the way He intended it to overflow
