Saved by a Pocket Bible!

Hello all:
This is a photograph of damage to a pocket New Testament given to my friend Andy Sullivan by my daughter Merry. It was given him just before he traveled last summer to the Middle East to join the fight against Daesh terrorists in northern Iraq.
He is fighting alongside the Kurdish Peshmerga militia. Currently, his militia unit is fighting to liberate Mosul.
The damage shown in this bible occurred while Andy was carrying it in the center front pocket of his body armor vest. This pocket is located directly in front of his heart, and in front of his ceramic chest plate.
The damage to this Bible was caused by an impact from a rocket-propelled grenade. The hole is approx. the size of a US 25 cent coin, caused by the front end of the RPG warhead. It was fired at Andy by Daesh terrorists last week, during an intense and close-quarters firefight.
The RPG did not detonate! Both Andy and the RPG fell to the ground after impact. Andy was shaken up, but otherwise unhurt.
I know you have heard about this young American, answering God's call to go and fight Daesh, so the Kurdish people can be liberated from this oppressive evil. I know you have been praying for him to be safe, and for him to complete his mission to help rescue Kurds from death and slavery.
I thought you should know this, this most recent combat miracle to occur because you have been praying for this young man. Prior to this latest, Andy has been shot 4 times in his chest plate, in three separate incidents. He's also been shot in the leg (twice), lost part of a finger, been burned severely, and nearly blown up numerous times. He's been able to rescue dozens of civilians, including many children, from Daesh terrorists. Most of these rescues occurred during firefights. Andy fell on a hand grenade six weeks ago, to protect the President of Kurdistan during an assassination attempt. The grenade in that event also did not explode!
Too often we don't get to see or measure how effective our prayers are. But as faithful people, we pray anyway. It's what we do; its part of our calling and work in this world.
Not this time!
This photograph is not fake. Andy was struck by an RPG in the center of his chest! The RPG penetrated 1/4 of this bible, but it did not explode to kill Andy and the men with him. So our friend Andy survived, and the Kurdish fighters with him survived also! You are praying, and each of these men is alive as a result!
The damage shown is a sign to each of us, and of course to Andy and the men he is fighting with, that God is able to keep his people even when in danger.
As Andy says in nearly every message he sends me:
"For the Glory of God, and the people of Kurdistan!!!
Victory or Death!!"
I send also this photo of the Russian RPG-7, showing one rocket with the launcher, along with a second warhead. Notice the small round tip of the warhead's nosecone. This is the actuator, which on impact with the target causes the warhead detonator to fire. It is this nosecone actuator that struck Andy, penetrating his bible. Amazing.
