India: Through the Jungle and Over the Mountains 

On May the 16th I was at work pulling plants with my crew for this week's shipments. Around 9 a.m. Pastor Joy called me with a sudden request. It seemed that 100 people had walked 400 kilometers to find pastor Joy. They wanted to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ from Christopher. So I dropped everything, did a 10 minute prayer walk, and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ using Scriptures from the first chapter of John, and from other places too. All 100 received Christ willingly, eagerly, joyfully. Then I called upon the Lord to baptize them with His Holy Spirit. What a set up! For the next week, they will be walking back to their village (in a place I will not divulge openly). They brought around 20 of their older children too. It will be an arduous journey for sure.

 

The Harvest is Ripe

Why would people undertake such a dangerous and long journey? It all has to do with what the Lord has been doing in the mountains of a neighboring state. You may have heard of the rainy miracle back in the beginning of April. Well, so had these people.

After that public display of power, I asked the Lord what He wanted to do next. Some wanted to do a great conference and draw thousands of people into 1 event. But the Lord clearly told me, "No!" What I heard Him say was to send evangelistic teams to the surrounding villages who had heard the stories. They were ripe and ready to be harvested into the Kingdom. I have been told there are 27 such villages, but perhaps there are even more. These 100 are people from one of the surrounding villages. They were not willing to wait. They wanted Jesus immediately, so they took their families and walked all that way!

Now I am told the 100 have arrived safely home from their journey, full of joy and testimonies. They have asked me to come and preach the Gospel to all their friends and neighbors, all 11,000 of them! So I am a intending to go there, to the mountains of Chattisgargh, and lead these people to Christ. Certainly, these 11,000 have friends and relatives too . . .

Time to Go

As I have been invited to come and visit these people, I am currently making arrangements to go and spend a week or a bit more with them. Already, so much has happened that an entire week will not be sufficient to meet everyone. But go I must. I have answered the call. Here is what the Lord has done so far in just 3 months of working through online video conferencing:

*200 Roman Catholic priests repented of preaching a false gospel and will only preach what the Bible teaches. They will preach the true Gospel.


 


*35 Hindu priests (along with their families) converted en masse to following Jesus Christ.


*Healing miracles have been breaking out among the people. Here is Mary Bethany completely healed after she woke from her TBI coma. Now, she and her husband have planted a church and led 14 families to Christ already!





 

*2 Hindu villages have turned to Jesus Christ, despite facing severe persecution and expulsion from all Indian society.

Partner with the Lord and CMM

What is needed is so important now that people's lives are being dramatically affected by what the Lord is doing. Wells are needed. Churches need to be built. Financial support is vital as the government cuts off all persons who convert to following Jesus Christ. Warfare is intense, so much prayer needs to be offered on their behalf. I am going to continue to work among these people. Clearly an effectual open door has presented itself before me. It has only just begun. There is so much more to do. Revival is certainly upon this place. I intend to go and make the fire even brighter and hotter. I need others standing behind me. Over time I expect to organize a team to go with me and further this work. The work cannot be done alone. What is needed is a team both supporting from behind and also those going to the field of battle. Won't you consider playing a role in what God has clearly begun in Odisha, India?

Have I Really Forgiven?

Forgiveness is a widely discussed topic, yet after years of studying the Word, searching scripture on forgiveness, meditating on examples in the Bible, reading countless books, and listening to numerous sermons, I realized that I hadn’t truly forgiven or released many people from my heart. That’s why I felt compelled to write this article—to share my journey and insights on what genuine forgiveness looks like.
